Style File Friday: Mallard's Ground Breaking

It may seem like it's too early to be thinking about baseball but Spring really is around the corner (at least that is what I keep telling myself).  I couldn't be more excited about the Mallards new stadium!  I can't wait to watch a few of their games this summer.  After all they are practically in my backyard.  Oh the summer heat.  Won't it be lovely?  But for now get your baseball fix with the Mallards groundbreaking.

For more information visit the Mallards website.

Style File Friday: Garden Expo

Every year around this time, the complete dead of Feb, I look for any sign of spring. For the past few years the Garden Expo has been one of those big signs. I wander through the vendors surrounded by others looking for spring dreaming about the coming warmer weather. I simply can't wait to plant the seeds for this years veg garden and to start outdoor projects. Get some ideas here.  What are your spring/summer projects for this year?

What I Wear Wednesdays

We are so excited to introduce another weekly special blog post, What I Wear Wednesdays!  It's not that we feel our outfits are super extraordinary or that you should be enraptured by them but its the process, the troubleshooting, the life behind an outfit that can spawn more creative ways of looking at our closets.  So it is our hope that What I Wear Wednesdays will become a source for those moments (AH! what am I going to wear today?!?), get your creative juices going, and get you out the door looking and feeling goosalicious!

Um...what to wear what to wear?....  In advance to my trip to CA and Vegas this weekend this dress was screaming my name.  "HALLEY! There is nothing like a sunburst to make you feel like spring is just around the corner."  So by adding a scarf and cardi to this short sleeve dress it's not only oh-so-fashionable but also oh-so-I'm-not-freezing-my-ass-off anymore.  (I can say that right?  It's PG-13.)  Off to get organized for my buying trip.  Anything on your wish list for Spring/Summer?

Sunburst Dress: Synergy Organics- The Purple Goose $45
Cardigan: Tulle- The Purple Goose $38
Scarf: The Purple Goose $19
Boots: Can't remember where I got these Steve Madden boots 6+ years ago.  Love 'em.

Style File Friday: Little Shop of Horrors

It's a BIG time favorite of mine.  I think it is the combination of my loving plants, the color green and holding dear Anthropomorphism (human characteristics projected onto other living things- animals etc).  Either way I love Little Shop of Horrors.  And if you haven't seen the movie or had the pleasure of witnessing it performed (uh em Halley, I'm talking to you) you should at least add it to your Netflix list.  Or better yet jump to it and go see it at The Mitby Theatre (Madison College Truax Campus).  Get your tickets and some more info here.  Or read an article about the making of Little Shop of Horrors.  Enjoy!
